Release notes and engineering updates from PostgreSQL community components.

1 - Component Release Notes

Release notes, upgrade guidance, and compatibility notices.

This section follows important releases across the PostgreSQL community stack.

1.1 - pgsql.cc opens with four PostgreSQL community component manuals

The first pgsql.cc edition publishes 78-page English and Chinese documentation collections for four essential PostgreSQL community components.

The first edition of PostgreSQL Community Components brings four operational layers into one bilingual reading experience, with 78 pages in each language:

  • Patroni for high availability, distributed consensus, and controlled failover;
  • pgBackRest for backup, archiving, restore, and point-in-time recovery;
  • PgBouncer for lightweight PostgreSQL connection pooling.
  • pgBadger for PostgreSQL and PgBouncer log analysis and reporting.

Each collection preserves the upstream project’s terminology, page hierarchy, source references, and detailed reference material. English and Simplified Chinese pages share the same logical routes, so the language switcher can keep readers on the subject they are already reading.

The site is built with OINK 0.4.1. Its local search index, page outline, keyboard navigation, print views, Markdown output, and llms.txt make the same source useful for quick lookup, uninterrupted reading, offline browsing, and machine-assisted workflows.

This is an independent community documentation project. For project governance, source code, support channels, and the latest authoritative release status, follow the upstream links included throughout each manual.
